Making Changes to the Registration of a Trademark

In accordance with Article 1491, Paragraph 1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, a trademark registration certificate is valid for 10 years with the possibility of unlimited renewal. During this period, various changes may occur, which must be registered with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) in accordance with Article 1505, Paragraph 1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. These changes may include: the name, identity, residence, or location of the rights holder; mailing address; reduction of the list of goods and services (expansion is prohibited); certain elements of the trademark that do not affect its individuality and recognizability, as well as technical errors
